Front or top loader washing machines. Help me decide.

Washing machine died :( Repair man said the brushes in the motor were too far gone. The inside belt needs replacing.

Repair cost is £££ and no guarantee another part won't break.

Looking at both top and front loaders.

Do top loaders wash better? Never had one before.

Fluffy scones which rise

Scones are hard when the dough is over-mixed.

I use Alton Brown's recipe, terrific chef he is. Very talented.

The new chocolate pill flavanol supplement

The pills would be useful because cocoa plants vary in flavanol quantities. IMO I don't think it's correct to call it a "chocolate pill", chocolate implies the processing of cocoa to make a solid block of confectionery. The processing of cocoa destroys most flavanols. It's just a flavanol extract. H...

Scandinavian furniture... your thoughts

Those pieces are a modern rendition of the 70s retro Scandinavian. Scandinavian and Danish furniture are among my favourites, although I do like traditional pieces, they add an air of class.

Easy Kitchen Remodeling Ideas?

I know myself that flat pack kitchens are a lot of work to put together although the benefit was saving money on having a custom kitchen made by a cabinet maker. That said you need to make sure that they are assembled properly. Granite is very heavy to lift if you're reusing the granite and installi...

Will tattoos cause problems?

I work in a customer service role, I love tattoos but I'm torn between having visible ones (arms and legs) and not. My friends have small wrist and upper arm tattoos from their holidays and love them. I'll be the first person in my family, if I go ahead, If I have a tattoo. Will I regret this? Your...

lemon juice for skin imperfections

Does anyone do this? So many places say that lemon juice is good for lightening skin imperfections. Today I squeezed a lemon and put the juice on my face for 30 minutes. It stung at first! I'm hoping to see some marks lighten up! Yes! Lemon juice for skin health is a great combination as it's a nat...

Body Butter vs lotion

I prefer body butter because it's thicker and stays on the skin for longer. !love Yeah or no? I voted for body butter, it's luxurious but honestly too muddy for the face. I bought a jar for my friend who suffers from the dryest skin that I've ever seen and now she swears by body butter. Body butter...

"If it ain't broke why fix it" applies perfectly here. Do politicians get bored and go looking for issues to get public involvement and outcry?

Does makeup clog pores?

Certainly, cheap makeup can clog pores although it differs from person to person. Heavy foundations, creams and pigments can aggravate the skin. There are oil-free formulas which CAN be better depending on what else they put in...

Spray Tan vs Tanning Bed. What is better?

Tanning bed is not worth dying over as you'll get hooked on the natural tanned look. Regarding rub off, I found that my fake tan did rub off when I stupidly hit the gym while the tan was still fresh. The rub off did not completely wash out of my gym gear! Shaving my legs took off tan. Scrubbing spon...

How rude of them. Who cares if you have a different style? Brush it off because they probably want a rise out of you. Stay away.
