What can you do to get gel nail polish dry without a UV light? I know this lamp is convenient because it is small and we can put it in our handbag or pocket and can do our nails wherever we want to but queries to know if there is any other alternative for it??

When I tried, I couldn't get my gel polish to cure without a nail lamp. It's because gel polish contains a photoactive ingredient that dries down when exposed to a certain wavelength, either UV or LED light.

On the market there are gel polishes that can dry down without a lamp, but I'm not sure if they're any good. Essie sells this type that don't need a lamp so instead, a top coat is added for a gel like shine. Whether it's a true gel polish with the same effect, I'm not sure. I hope to buy some and try it.

You can't dry that exact type of polish without a UV/LED lamp.

You can however apply a base coat, two coats of gel effect nail polish then a gel effect top coat... as an alternative. But then you're carrying extra polish in your handbag instead of a lamp. It works out the same - I think :)
